How To Prevent Grub Worms

Here in Ohio and most of the midwest for that matter, grub worms are getting ready to be hatched. Without going into a long drawn out explanation of what grub worms are: just trust me that you need to apply a grub worm preventative sometime between June and mid August so you lawn is protected. There is one problem with most grub worm killer products, however, and that is that they contain high amounts of nitrogen fertilizer in the mix. (Scott’s Grub X is one such example).

You guys know that we get watering restrictions and even bans here in Ohio and that means we DO NOT want to put excessive nitrogen on a lawn that has gone dormant from lack of water. Trust me, this is very bad for your lawn. But you still need to treat for grub worms and below is a quick vid I did to show you just exactly what to do to kill and prevent grub worms without applying nitrogen!
